Gosh. Win some and lose some with this company, eh? I AM happy they made it easier to clean up personal information from the search engines though. I remember how hard that used to be

This has helped remove some inappropriate home address listings from whitepage sorts of websites.

There's a major glitch when they email you about a possible takedown request, at least whenever I've used it; the link in their email doesn't lead to the webpage to request removal, and I could never find it under google account settings.

Bookmark this link or search for it, and you'll find the correct page (unless they've fixed this):

Thanks for the article. Ok, this is a real question. When you say “Search yourself on Google”, what if you have a really famous, really common, name? Like, say, Elizabeth Taylor for example 🥴. I’ve never tried it because I’ve always figured, what’s the point, there’s going to be millions and millions of hits? Any hints? Could you search {your name} + an email address or something to narrow it?

Name + email is a good one. Or try a data broker site with your name + city or state/province.
