You mention TV’s using WiFi quite a lot. However, I typically use a wired connection for my TVs for better performance. Does any of the advice you mention change because of this type of set up?
I sure am glad for these articles as I consider a TV again, they've changed a lot since there were only 3 broadcast channels, lol. Only half kidding, I was too suspicious to use an Alexa that was a gift & damn well don't want the app for my dishwasher. >:[

Thank you I have made several changes on my TV! I also love the idea of using a guest WiFi so creepy to think my TV can snoop around my other devices.

Not really. We hardwire our TVs as well. In our experience, that's the exception though so I think we were just going with the most common scenario.
You can also segment your wired connections if you have the right hardware.
